PREVIEW: SHEFFIELD v BRUMMIES

Wednesday July 02, 2025
BIRMINGHAM will seek to take confidence from Monday’s home win over King’s Lynn when they travel to Sheffield on Thursday (July 3, 7.30pm).

The Curtis Sport Brummies picked up a much needed victory over the Stars as they put a previous couple of unacceptable performances behind them.

They will be without Keynan Rew however, who dropped just one point on Monday, due to rearranged fixtures on the continent.

But skipper Tobiasz Musielak is open minded on the Brummies’ second trip of the season to his old club.

“Sheffield away will be difficult, but this is speedway,” Musielak said.

“It is a new day and anything can happen.”

Rider Replacement will operate for Rew with everyone except Musielak eligible to take one of his programmed outings.

Sheffield have handed talented British youngster William Cairns his first opportunity in the top division as a Rising Star guest in place of Leon Flint.

SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Anders Rowe, Josh Pickering, Lewi Kerr, Chris Holder, Justin Sedgmen, William Cairns.
BIRMINGHAM: Tobiasz Musielak, Keynan Rew R/R, Jonas Jeppesen, Paco Castagna, Matej Zagar, Ben Barker, Sam Hagon.
