| | BIRMINGHAM and Belle Vue meet again in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership on Thursday (June 5, 7.30pm) at the National Speedway Stadium in Manchester.
It will come just 72 hours after the Curtis Sport Brummies beat the reigning league champions in a last heat decider at Perry Barr.
Having picked up two wins in the space of a week, the Second City side are now level on points with sixth placed King’s Lynn in the current standings.
And whilst many outsiders will still see Belle Vue as strong favourites on Thursday, Brummies’ Rising Star Jason Edwards is happy for people to keep writing them off with the atmosphere changing within the camp.
Said Edwards: “We’ve won two on the bounce now - and I didn’t think we’d be saying that!
“It’s just nice to keep the momentum going.
“We needed this as a club for the spectators and everything.
“Losing Michael (Jepsen-Jensen) was a massive blow but we are the same six riders now and hopefully we can go from strength-to-strength.
“Now we can see what we can do each meeting, see who we can upset and having that switch mentally is brilliant.”
