| | BIRMINGHAM do battle with reigning league champions Belle Vue at Perry Barr on Monday (June 2, 7.30pm).
The Curtis Sport Brummies will arrive back on home shale having bagged their first win of the year last Monday when they pipped Leicester by a single point in the East Midlands.
But team manager Chris Adams now wants his riders to back that result up.
“It goes without saying that we don’t want that win against Leicester to be a one off,” Adams said.
“That was just one meeting and Monday against Belle Vue is a new day.
“The team were pleased with the win at Leicester, of course they were, and maybe it will help them going into the next meeting.
“But whilst the results might not show it, we’ve had belief from the start.
“Belle Vue have a similar team to what they did last year; we beat them at home then so let’s try and do the same again.”
A change in the averages for June means Birmingham will operate Rider Replacement at No.1 for Michael Jepsen Jensen having had their initial 14 day facility extended to cover the absent Dane.
Meanwhile, captain Tobiasz Musielak moves to No.3 alongside Keynan Rew in the engine room of the side.
Belle Vue are spearheaded by Grand Prix duo Dan Bewley and Brady Kurtz with former Brummie Zach Cook a winter signing made by the Aces.
Supporters should note that there will be no second half racing this week and that this fixture is NOT being streamed due to being broadcast by TNT Sports.
