KING'S LYNN v BULLS, PREVIEW

Tuesday April 29, 2025
BIRMINGHAM'S development team have added Connor Coles to their squad ahead of Wednesday's (April 30, 7.30pm) trip to King's Lynn.

Ductair Bulls racer Max James has been handed a 28 day suspension following his request to be removed from Edinburgh's Cab Direct Championship side due to confidence issues, regarded as withdrawing his services.

And with Wednesday's National Development Trophy fixture quickly followed by another away meeting at Leicester on Sunday (May 4, 3pm), team manager Laurence Rogers moved to make a temporary signing.

"Connor is only riding for Edinburgh in the National Development League at the moment with no Championship spot yet," he explained.

"He needs more track time so has accepted our offer.

"Connor is a solid rider who gives us strength at the top end of the side and with his 8.00 average he will slot in at No.1 with Tom Spencer moving to No.5.

"I did have a guest lined up for Wednesday initially but we have decided to bring Connor in.

“We will reassess the situation when Max has served his suspension as he wants to be back as soon as he can.

"It’s a great pity that he couldn’t just be allowed to withdraw from the Championship and get his confidence back in the NDL and NDT but this seemingly is not allowed which is harsh.”

The two sides have already met in the competition with the Young Stars running out 48-41 winners at Perry Barr earlier this month.

Admission prices at the Adrian Flux Arena in Norfolk are £15 for all adults, £5 for children aged 12-15 (accompanied by an adult) an under-12s free.

KING’S LYNN: Jody Scott, Harrison Rogers, Ashton Vale, Max Perry, Luke Harrison, Cooper Rushen, Calum Mitchell.
BIRMINGHAM: Connor Coles, Arran Butcher, Sam McGurk, Darryl Ritchings, Tom Spencer, Senna Summers, Eli Meadows.
