BRUMMIES TIE UP WITH WARWICKSHIRE CRICKET CLUB

Tuesday October 22, 2024
Birmingham Speedway are pleased to announce the start of a new unique partnership with Warwickshire County Cricket Club that will benefit both clubs

Brummies Commercial Director Steve Rolleston and Director of Speedway Laurence Rogers met with Warwickshire Cricket Club’s Will Kerr and Dan Clarke at Edgbaston to discuss the tie up. Both parties see many advantages for the clubs and supporters of agreeing the partnership for 2025.

The partnership grants 1828 Full Club, Bears & England, and Premium Members free entry to speedway meetings at Perry Barr next season. This will mirror the Brummies season ticket holders of all league matches plus first KO Cup meeting and discounts off additional meetings.

And the reciprocal arrangement means Brummies fans can attend all Vitality County Championship games at Edgbaston using their speedway membership.

The Brummies will be in attendance at Edgbaston with bikes on show and handing out fliers to promote their racing at Perry Barr. Warwickshire players and staff will be invited to watch the thrills and spills of speedway whilst both clubs will advertise and promote the clubs at the venues.

There will also be other activities involving the two clubs with other developing tie-ups being discussed. This is totally unique with a major cricket club linking with a speedway club who race in the top flight of British Speedway.

Brummies Commercial Manager Steve Rolleston said, “ Following on from our successful tie-up with Rugby side Midland Hurricanes at Alexander Stadium in 2024 we were introduced to Warwickshire County Cricket Club. We had a highly successful meeting with them where so many ideas were discussed and we are now in a partnership with them that will be of great benefit to all parties. It means our season ticket holders will have an extra free element for their money whilst we have the opportunity to introduce speedway to the cricket fans. “
