PIOTR Pawlicki has informed Birmingham that he doesn’t feel he can be a part of their final two league meetings.
The Curtis Sport Brummies host Ipswich at Perry Barr on Monday (August 26, 7.30pm) before travelling to Foxhall Stadium to take on the Witches on Thursday (August 29, 7.30pm).
Birmingham CEO Nigel Tolley said: “Laurence (Rogers – Director of Speedway) received a long text off Piotr basically saying that he is still feeling the effects of the virus that he had a couple of weeks ago, that he’s essentially fatigued and that he doesn’t feel he can be a part of our final few fixtures.
“Obviously, we were beyond disappointed with his performance against King’s Lynn last Monday, but in this instance it’s irrelevant.
“With the transfer window shut, we can’t make any more team changes so we have told him that he has to commit to racing in these upcoming meetings against Ipswich.
“He has told us he feels he needs to stay at home and we have communicated this with the SCB (Speedway Control Bureau) to see where we stand.”
