WEDNESDAY PREVIEW: BRITISH U19 FINAL

Tuesday October 24, 2023
BIRMINGHAM bring the curtain down on the season at Perry Barr on Wednesday (October 25, 7.30) with the restaging of the British Under-19 Final.

The event was initially attempted at the home of the Brummies back in June, but despite the youngsters being more than willing to battle through tricky conditions, the decision was made to abandon the action after four races as the rain poured down.

Another highly competitive field has been assembled this time around though as racing returns to Perry Barr for one final time this year after a seven week gap in the schedule.

Young Lions chief Neil Vatcher said: “For a British Under-19 Final this is a fantastic field of riders.

“As often with these age restricted events, the previous winners are now all ineligible due to their age.

“Therefore to me this makes this event even more special as one of the 16 riders is going to be crowned a British Champion for the very first time and for that rider an evening that will live in their memory for a very long time.”

Meanwhile, Brummies CEO Nigel Tolley added: “We certainly have some superb talent within the youth of British Speedway at the moment.

“I’m expecting a cracking meeting and to be quite honest I haven’t got a clue who is going to win.”

Admission is Adults £18, Concessions £16, Students £5, Juniors (12-16) £3 while Children 11 and under go FREE.
Birmingham Speedway would like to remind supporters that season tickets are NOT valid for this event but Advance5 tickets CAN be used. In addition, Readmission tickets from the original abandoned staging will be valid on Wednesday.

Tickets can be pre-booked in advance via: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/events/landing/42726

Supporters unable to attend can also stream the fixture via ‘Brummies TV’. It costs £11.99 per meeting and supporters can register now via: https://www.brummies.tv/
