| | BIRMINGHAM were thumped at Glasgow on Friday as they were beaten 64-26 in Scotland.
It was the Brummies' heaviest defeat in over nine years on another night to forget in the Cab Direct Championship.
Skipper Justin Sedgmen was the side's only race winner of the night when he took the chequered flag in Heat Nine on his way to scoring ten of Birmingham's 26 points.
The Curtis Sport Brummies were also dealt another blow when winter signing James Wright pulled out after just two rides as he aggravated the shoulder injury that kept him out of the start of the season.
Birmingham know a response is essential when they host Oxford at Perry Barr on Wednesday (June 7, 7.30).
GLASGOW 64: Chris Harris 13+2, Tom Brennan 13, Claus Vissing 10+1, Benjamin Basso 9+2, Marcin Nowak 7+1, Lee Complin 7+1, Ace Pijper 5. BIRMINGHAM 26: Justin Sedgmen 10, Alfie Bowtell 6, James Pearson 5+1, Nick Morris 3, Joe Thompson 2, James Wright 0, Stefan Nielsen R/R.
