HARRIS ISSUES BRUMMIES RALLY-CRY

Monday June 07, 2021
BRITISH speedway icon Chris Harris is urging Brummies fans to stick with the club.

Harris says Perry Barr supporters have always been ‘great’ and he’s hoping to see plenty of them back for the visit of Glasgow on Wednesday (7.30).

Understandably frustration was the order of the day after the abandonement of opening night last week with six heats remaining but with track work taking place ahead of this mid-week the club are taking measures to repair the damage.

Now Harris wants to see the club bounce back with a big night ahead.

He said: "It was great to get back out there in front of the Birmingham fans.

"They always give great support and I was glad to give them two race wins to cheer about.

"We've made a good start to the season as a team I think and there's definitely even more to come from all of us.

"Glasgow won't be easy on Wednesday, nobody is easy in this Championship, and it will be hard.

"We'll all have to be at our best that's for sure but we showed at Redcar on Friday that we've regrouped already and we'll put up a fight definitely."

Tickets can be purchased online via birmingham-speedway.com up to midnight on Tuesday or cash sales will be available at the stadium on Tuesday between between 5pm and 6.30. Laurence Rogers will be available at the speedway office to handle the sales.
