| | BIRMINGHAM are preparing for their biggest meeting of the season when glamour club Poole visit Perry Barr on Wednesday (7.30).
The Brummies will be on a revenge mission after Sunday’s 57-33 defeat in Dorset and is a rematch of the 2013 Grand Final.
Poole include former Brummies favourite Danny King alongside top Championship performers Steve Worrall and Rory Schlein.
Chris Harris, another former Pirates man, is relishing the prospect.
“The two clubs have history with that Grand Final,” he said. “It was a great season for Birmingham and we had a great time.
“Hopefully we can set the record straight on Wednesday and get the right result, it should be a great meeting.”
Birmingham will once again be offering the opportunity for visits to the centregreen to enjoy the action from the inside, plus visits to the pits to meet the riders before the meeting and interval entertainment for youngsters.
Sunday’s meeting saw German ace Erik Riss top score with 9, Harris notched 8+1 along with youngsters Jack Thomas.
They head to Kent on Bank Holiday Monday for a 4pm start with more Championship points on the line.
