BIRMINGHAM star Chris Harris is dreaming of a fourth British Championship title.

The returning Brummies’ battler will compete in the national Final next Saturday (September 26) at Ipswich - after initially being ruled out.

He was due to compete in the World Longtrack Final on the same date - but that has since been moved to next Sunday.

And ‘Bomber’, who raced for Ipswich in the top-flight last season, is now focusing on adding another major honour to his CV.

“You always want to add as many titles as you can before you retire,” Harris said.

“I always want to ride in the British Final and I’m fortunate everything’s moved about.

“I was gutted when they first announced the date for the British Final because I’d have had to have raced in the World Longtrack Final.

“But lucky for me, they’re not on the same day anymore and I’ve found a way to ride in both.

“I’ll do the British Final at Ipswich, then the bikes will have already been sent out to Poland for the Longtrack Final.

“I’ll get an early flight on the Sunday morning and if everything goes to plan, the way I’ve worked it out is that by the time we’ve driven from the airport, we should get to the track five minutes before practice.

“So it’s going to be pretty hectic but at least I can be involved in both meetings which are both pretty big for me.”
