BIRMINGHAM go head-to-head with league leaders Leicester at Perry Barr tonight (Wednesday, 7.30).

And the Edwards Plumbing Brummies have been forced into another line-up change.

Youngster Jordan Jenkins, who only signed for the club at the start of the month, informed club bosses on Tuesday that he is taking a break from the sport.

The club would like to thank Edinburgh and Stoke racer Connor Coles for stepping in at short notice.

Meanwhile fans' favourite Paco Castagna is keen to see supporters turn out in force for tonight's derby and insists the Brummies have got nothing to lose.

“Everyone can see how solid Leicester are throughout and they’ve had so many good results this season – that’s why they’re at the top of the table," Castagna said.

“Of course we’re the underdogs and of course most people will be thinking Leicester will come to Birmingham and win no problem.

“But other teams have thought that way when they’ve come to Birmingham already this season and we’ve surprised a fair few teams now.

“We’ve just got to give it our best shot, we all need to step things up another level, and push Leicester as much as we can for the supporters.

“We’ve got nothing to lose and I think it should be a fantastic Speedway meeting.”

There will be a team autograph and photo session between 6.35 and 6.50pm with a page in the official raceday programme for the riders to sign.

With the club also holding their annual collection for the Speedway Riders’ Benevolent Fund, not only will there be collection buckets going around the stadium, there will also be the unique opportunity to walk the Perry Barr track during the interval.

Some of the Brummies riders will join supporters on their walk - all the club are asking for is a minimum £1 donation to the SRBF.

And if that wasn’t enough, up to 25 supporters will again be able to take advantage of the Perry Barr Centre Green Experience.

Tickets to watch Heats 12-14 will be on sale upon entry to the stadium for just £3 per person and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Kids 11 and under go free while Leicester season ticket holders will also receive a £5 discount off the adult price and will be admitted for £11.50.
