BIRMINGHAM travel to Scunthorpe on Friday as they aim to pick up their first away Championship points of the season (7.30).

The Edwards Plumbing Brummies have been boosted by their impressive home win over Eastbourne on Wednesday with a positive all-round team display.

Finnish international Tero Aarnio produced his best display in Brummies colours in that one and hopes to make an impact on Friday against his former side.

“To start such a busy month with a much better score on Wednesday was important for me as well as the team,” Aarnio said.

“It was also nice to have a full team and it was nice to be able to get properly involved with the team for the first real time.

“Next up we have Scunthorpe and that is my old good hunting ground.

“I expect to go there and do well; it’s normally a really smooth track that I’m extremely comfortable on.”

SCUNTHORPE: Jake Allen, Danny Ayres, Stefan Nielsen, Josh Auty, Ben Barker, Ryan Kinsley, Simon Lambert.
BIRMINGHAM: Adam Ellis, Nick Agertoft, Tero Aarnio, Paco Castagna, Jason Garrity, Jordan Jenkins, James Shanes.
