ULRICH IN ACTION ON SUNDAY

RETURNING Birmingham star Ulrich Ostergaard launches his 2019 season at Leicester on Sunday (2pm).

Ostergaard, who was part of the Edwards Plumbing Brummies’ first-ever Premier League line-up back in 2007 and also had an Elite League spell with the club four years later, lines up in the Ben Fund Bonanza which is the traditional curtain-raiser to the new campaign.

The field at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena also includes five former Birmingham riders with Danny King, Ben Barker, Josh Auty, Justin Sedgmen and Paul Starke all having raced for the club in their previous era as a senior outfit.

The meeting is a full 20-heat individual plus a semi-final and Final, and an auction will take place after the final presentation.

Gates open at midday with pre-meeting events starting at 12.30, including Men in Black and British Youth races.

Admission prices are £20 adults, £15 concessions, children (10-16) £5, and under-10s free.
